Meet Mr. Lamb
My name is Timothy Lamb and I grew up in Birmingham Alabama.
I graduated from Vestavia Hills High School in 1988. I attended Jacksonville State University briefly after graduating high school before entering the workforce.
I ended up working for Alagasco now known as Spire Energy. I started working at Spire in August 2005.
I spent 18 years at Spire and during this time, I was blessed to return to school and complete my Bachelors of Science
degree in Business Administration in 2014. Then completing my Masters of Science degree in Business Administration in 2016.
During my tenure at Spire, I earned a State of Alabama gas journeyman's card and a master gas fitter’s card which I currently have.
This state professional license allows me the opportunity to work in all facets of the natural gas field be it commercial or residential.
I am currently the owner of Royal Gas Fitter’s, a small business that I have owned since January 2020.
I took early retirement in August 2023 from Spire.
I am currently the modern manufacturing instructor at Bessemer City High School.
This career change has allowed me to work with high school students to teach them skilled trades in the manufacturing sector.
We learn to use hand tools, and measuring tapes, how to build different
structures, how to fill out and complete job applications, and interviewing skills. Although it has
been a challenge for me to step out of the labor force into the classroom full-time, I can
honestly say I enjoy it overall. I am still looking for all the blessings that God has in me.
